Mission Statement
The goal of the Bioinformatics Graduate Student Association (BGSA) is to represent students from the Genomic Sciences program in university matters associated with the overall Student Body, College of Sciences, and Administration. Currently, the Bioinformatics program offers Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Bioinformatics.
We wish to serve as an informational and financial bridge between the university and our graduate students by providing an open forum for students to voice their opinions in all matters of mutual interest to faculty and students in the Genomic Sciences program. We engage our department by hosting annual symposiums, fundraisers and other social events. We also establish connections with graduate students of various departments by collaborating and volunteering for events hosted by the campus-wide Graduate Students Association.
